There is absolutely nothing to be gained by primimg with DME. In fact,
since different extracts have different degrees of fermentability, it's
kinda a crapshoot since you don't know how much it will ferment and how
carbed your beer will be. I prefer corn sugar since it reliable. No
priming, whatever it is, will have an effect on taste since you use so
little of it. I once did a double blind test with the same beer force
carbed, and primed with corn sugar, cane sugar, DME and honey. Tasters
were 2 experienced homebrewers and 1 person with good taste buds. No
one could tell which was which and there was no difference in any of the
beer's carbonation level or quality.
