First off welcome to home brewing. Second, yes it is normal, it is all of the products put into the beer in suspension. It will settle and clear. I recently brewed a pale ale and it was VERY cloudy. After sitting in the secondary, and then kegged for 2 months it is extreamly clear. My friend that "hates homebrew", did not believe me when he looked at it and sampled it. I think I am going to have to show him how it's done.
Patience and it will all work out.
