As Wild said AZ is not a very good place for beer diversification. Very few bars in the area have anything descent on tap. The Yard house is one BIG exception. With over 100 beers on tap, it is my favorite bar/restaurant by far.
When I go to a friends house, it normally entails a 30 minute drive out of my way to a specialty store (like AJ's or BevMo) to find anything moderately good. But then, of late, I have been just bringing a few 6 packs of my own brew to satisfy my palate.
All my friends know that if we are drinking at their place, I make the beer selection, and I bring it myself. If I don’t buy, they end up buying Miller Lite or Dos Equis… And I would rather die of thirst in a desert than drink the cheap stuff.
But to answer, What I would drink if I went out (and it was readily available) would be Corsendonk Brown Ale, or Triple Karmeliet. Mmmm. Which by the way are both at the Yard House. |
