Your problem might be in the carbonation stage. When you change the amount
of beer you must also change the amount of priming suger(corn) to reflect
the volume change. Easy soloutuion: dump out the .5-.7 gallons before
bottling and priming. Yes the beer might be too watery, but at least it will
be carbonated propperly.
