It creates chlorophenols in beer, which give it a disgusting "band-aid"
like flavor. The easiest way to get rid of the chloramine is to draw
your all water the day before brewing and add 1 crushed campden tablet
per 20 gallons of water. Stir it in and let the water sit overnight.
The next day, give it another good stir to outgas the tablet and you're
good to go.
