| Re: New 12.2 Gallon Stainless Steel Conical Fermenter (Fermentator by Blichmann) I would like to quote Texas Brews. It is the philosophy that I live by.

"Brewing beer is neither complicated nor expensive. It's the responsibility
of the brewer to make it as complicated and expensive as their wife's will
allow. Great beer is made in small pots in a kitchen; our beer is made in
larger pots in the garage. People have been brewing spectacular beers for
thousands of years; we've been brewing mediocre beers for a few months.
Since we've been brewing for months, we're naturally experts. Read on,
you'll see we have all the answers -- its just the questions that have us
confused."
I have personally spent several hundred dollars buying equipment to make my
favorite mediocre beer and have recently spent a few hundred dollars on
e-bay buying more toys for home brewing. Simply put, it has kept me off the
street for some time updating my system and brewing bigger and better
mediocre beer. Personally I think saved a few dollars buying the stuff on
e-bay. If not, don't blow my illusion but most of all, don't tell my wife.
