The best book available is "Making Pure Corn Whiskey, A Professional Guide
for Amateur and Micro Distillers" by Ian Smiley BSc, Second Edition.
Although it doesn't give a recipe for rum it does explain distilling in
detail and how to build a Fractionating or Reflux still for making whiskeys,
rums, vodkas and gins.
