I just got a 1/2 keg and I want to turn it into a brew pot. Anybody done
this before? Hints/tips would be great.

Good for you, if it is a stainless steel one I highly recommend finding
someone that has a Plasma Cutter and use it to cut open the top. I tried
several other methods and found that a plasma cutter works best.

Also, make an attempt to cut the hole so that it fits an extra pan lid you
may have lying around. Be advised, if you use a machinist, the plasma cut
hole may not be the prettiest.
