Recipes

Does any one have any recipes that use honey, brownsugar, or adding fruit
flavor to the beer (i.e. strawberry, peach, and pumpkin)

Thanks
Paul

This one turned out nice, it is a lite wheat ale, 3 gallon recipe, and it is
very simple to make. You can kick it up a few notches if you like by adding
a half pound or even a whole pound of honey.

Anniversary Apricot Ale

1.5 lb Weizen Malt Extract
1.5 lb Light Dry Malt Extract
1/2 oz Saaz (60 minutes)
1/2 oz Saaz (10 minutes)
3 oz Apricot Flavoring (or substitute whatever flavor you like)
Dry Yeast (Munton's, Nottingham, Edme, any kind will work fine)

Do NOT add apricot flavoring until racking. Likewise, be sure NOT TO FORGET
TO ADD THE APRICOT FLAVORING! Use 1/2 distilled water, 1/2 tap water. Boil
the entire 3 gallons with the extract and hop additions as specified, cool
overnight. Pitch yeast and ferment 7 days at 70 deg F. Rack to secondary
and add apricot flavoring. Bottle after about 10 days, using a scant 1/2
cup corn sugar. Age for a week or two before drinking. Drink cold on a hot
summer's day for optimal enjoyment.
