I'm working on an assignment for graduate school and I am really
interested in getting demographics on the homebrewing community. I've

Interesting choices! When asked where I buy my equipment, there's no
alternative for "local grocery store". In large parts of the world,
that's (the only place) where you get it from.

Point well taken. I hadn't considered that grocery stores sold
anything. I should have included an other category, or a write-in
place.
