Upping the alcohol content

What would be an acceptable way of upping the alcohol content.
Is just adding some extra sugar during fermentation ok?

Thanks,

Chris

yes depending on what type of sugar you are talking about. Also make sure
your yeast can handle the higher alcohol.

I normally prime the beer with less sugar when making a higher alcohol beer
9%-10% because the sugar content when fermentation stops is higher than
normal ie I can't get the yeast to ferment all the sugars in the carboy[color=blue]
