| | | | Mexican Cerveza (corona type beverage) Good Day all,
SWMBO is stepping into the fray and wants to make a corona type brew. She
picked up a Mexican Cerveza (sp?) Barons kit (liquid) and asked how to make
it taste like Corona....personally I can't stand Corona or Sol, but SMBO!
Any hints/tips for this type of brew?

| | | | Re: Mexican Cerveza (corona type beverage) You will find the kit has a lot more taste than both Corona and Sol. You
could try Rice syrup to lighten the flavour or a light flavoured honey
(it also increases the alcohol) and try a liquid yeast. You could try
the California Larger or Mexican Lager. The California ferment at a
higher temp (up to 68F)the Mexican is a lower temp lager (up to 55F).
Also let it sit in the secondary longer. Mine right now is going on 6
weeks. Hope his gives you some help. Let us know how it turn out.

Yeah, and be sure to put it in clear bottles and leave it sitting in the sun
for a while before drinking, to ensure that yummy skunk flavor. :P

Ummmm.......
I think there is something wrong with that quote.
Is it supposed to be Stagnation (1971). If so it's
"I want a drink, I want a drink, to clear out the filth that is deep in my
guts"
1973ish could also mean "Foxtrot" or "Selling England by the Pound",
nothing like that on those albums, though.
Please enlighten.

I'm full of ****, anyway. Those quotes I labled 1971 are actually 1970
(Trespass album)

I am quite familiar with Trespass... "and will I wait forever beside the
silent mirror and fish for bitter minnows amongst the weeds and slimy
waterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr? I-I-I-I-I... I-I-I-I-I said I want to sit down....
I want a drink... I want a drink......", as well as Foxtrot, Selling
England, the Lamb, all the way up to Calling All Stations. I was actually
quoting a line from "Twilight Alehouse", which was a single, released as a
Selling-England-period B-side back in 1973-74, however I believe it was
performed live as early as 1971-ish, and is no doubt available on some
bootlegs. Unfortunately, it is not available on any of the studio albums,
but you can now find it on the 4-disc Archives boxed set. Quite a good
tune.

Of course, one of the only two songs of theirs that I've never heard.
Thanks,
