What is ment by PET?

I am new to the brewing thing and loving it. I just started my first "real"
batch... while I wait I have been reading and learning. What is PET?
PET and CANS are talked about in questions asked by SWINGERS in his "beer
kit sugars" questions.

Cheers!
Nate

Polyethylene Terephthalate. Plastic bottles, in other words. The debate is
whether or not they are permeable enough to allow oxygen into the beer, thus
ruining it via oxidation.

PET = PolyEThylene. That's plastic to you and me.
