Book Recomendataions

I would like to start brewing and am looking for a decent book on the
subject. I enjoy Stouts and Wheats. I am look for information on equipment
required, pros and cons of different equipment material, what to look for
when buying ingredients, basic things like that. Any suggestions?

Maybe try 'The New Complete Joy of Home Brewing' by Charlie Papazian.
It's an insightful book that's held me in good stead.
