With all due respect to all parties Limited advertisements are allowed
and accepted. However, this medium is totally about the defined aspects
of brewing beer and does not in any way asociate with the affiliated
marketing or selling of any product or resource whatsoever. There is a
provision however, if you put the word ADV before your post, it is
recognized as such. So unless you are talking about beer, put the AVD
before and then we all know that you're just lookin for sales and/or money.

Yeah, and some "auction" too. Why is it that you have your starting
price AND your 'Buy it Now' price the same amount? What you posted is
not an auction.
Nowhere did I question the quality of what it is you are "auctioning"
off. Re-read the post.

I agree with you 100%, and was by no means saying "don't buy on eBay"...I
just didn't want to have someone buy something that was in no way a 'good
deal' in my opinion. I buy far too much on ebay, at a GOOD deal, heh heh.

Heh, heh. Hell, I've never sold a single thing on e-Bay, and you're
telling us that you've gotten _feedback_ on 635 transactions, and I
presume that unless feedback is mandatory, that you've probably had a
significant number of additional transactions for which there is no
feedback. I'm not as stupid as I look. ;-) It sounds to me like you
are running an actual business on e-Bay, which is your prerogative, but
I personally condemn your post for what it clearly is: SPAM. God, could
you imagine what usernet would be like if everyone with a business
decided to post an ad even just once a year? It wouldn't be worth
using!!! So please get your lame, spamming ass off of this group. No
one with any sense is going to support a spammer, and that's exactly
what you appear to be. I find it really hard to believe that someone
who has peddles stuff on eBay as much as you have is trying to sell this
brand new unused item without making a dime. I have therefore sent a
complaint to eBay reporting this as SPAM. For someone who uses their
service as much as you claim, you ought to know that spamming is a
violation of eBay policy and terms of use. If you spam this group
again, I'm going to encourage every single member of these groups to
each file a complaint with eBay, and maybe you won't have anything to
advertise here after that. So, please find another way to sell your stuff.

Probably some geek that paid for one of those "Make millions at home
from E-Bay auctions" programs trying to get revenge on a gullible
public.
A couple of carboy caps and stands, invert 2 6.5 gallon carboys, and
you have the same capacity and functionality for much less money. |

If it is brand new, then why did you buy it in the first place?
And frankly, citing some 600+ positive reviews, and then calling
someone a jackass because they wisely point out this deal is a rip-off
strongly suggests that either your reviews are rigged, or your
satisfied customers are idiots.
Most local homebrew shops will offer a steep discount if a customer
walks in and asks them to order such a toy.
If it is really a spare item you need to get rid of, then sell it at a
reasonable price. |

| | | | Re: New 12.2 Gallon Stainless Steel Conical Fermenter (Fermentator by Blichmann) I would like to quote Texas Brews. It is the philosophy that I live by.
www.texanbrew.com
"Brewing beer is neither complicated nor expensive. It's the responsibility
of the brewer to make it as complicated and expensive as their wife's will
allow. Great beer is made in small pots in a kitchen; our beer is made in
larger pots in the garage. People have been brewing spectacular beers for
thousands of years; we've been brewing mediocre beers for a few months.
Since we've been brewing for months, we're naturally experts. Read on,
you'll see we have all the answers -- its just the questions that have us
confused."
I have personally spent several hundred dollars buying equipment to make my
favorite mediocre beer and have recently spent a few hundred dollars on
e-bay buying more toys for home brewing. Simply put, it has kept me off the
street for some time updating my system and brewing bigger and better
mediocre beer. Personally I think saved a few dollars buying the stuff on
e-bay. If not, don't blow my illusion but most of all, don't tell my wife.

Um, are you saying that all of those 'other' transactions are from
people that aren't happy with what I sold them? You'd think they'd
leave feedback if they were unhappy.

The posting started with a "FA:" indicator. You don't have to read it,
and if you do, that's your problem. You don't own this newsgroup; it's
a public forum and I can post whatever I want, whenever I want. Feel
free to *****. I've posted two items for sale in this news group over
the years so I don't feel I am abusing this forum ( I don't give a
**** if you think otherwise). My 'spamming ass'? Screw you.

I sell some electronics on ebay. Yes I make some money on that. I do
not make it a habit of selling brewing equipment there. This is a one
off on a brand new item and is at cost. You won't find one of these
for less than $500. I am not making anything on this - not that I give
a rip if you believe that or not. That's your perogative.

Again, you don't own this newsgroup. It's a public forum. You can
complain to ebay all you want. I am not SENDING YOU or anyone else
unsolicited emails. This is a posting to a public forum - you don't
have to read any "FA:" posts if you choose not to. I can post a
million messages about my auctions here if I want to. Ebay has no
problem with that. This will however be the last. Not because I'm
'afraid' of your empty threat, but because I don't make it a point of
selling brewing stuff.
