Who is in Charge?

Can whom ever is in charge of this NG. delete all the spam crap that is in
here...??

I have heard that some of the spam has a virus that creates more of it if
not removed from the system if a reader opens one
of the messages.

TIA

Uh, this is an unmoderated usenet group...nobody's "in charge". If
you're worried about viruses, use a newsreader that doesn't
automatically open attachments.

or at least, set "tools -> options -> read -> all messages in plain text" if
you use Outlook (Express). That will protect you not only from any virus
attachment but also from nasty blinking html crap.

Re: Who is in Charge?

My concern was for those that are new and not knowledgably about what
problems that can be caused by even unintentional click on the post.
Thus my question on who monitors... usually the person that starts the group
is assigned the monitor
responsibility.. however this group has been around a while and thus they
are gone..

Re: Who is in Charge?

Relax. I have yet to see a virus in this type of a newsgroup.

It depends upon the newsgroup charter ... assuming there is one. Some
groups can be moderated.

Then, MODERATED would be in the title. Show me the charter for this
group and I will say wrong again. That is if you can find one.
