Re: Good pump for moving hot wort?

Try http://www.movingbrews.com. I have had a pump from there for 5 years now
and it keeps on pumping. They also have fittings and more. Great upgrade, I
couldn't imagine using an immersion chiller again.

Re: Good pump for moving hot wort?

I don't think Bob Estabrook of March Mfg. would mind me reprinting this. A
while ago I emailed this to him:

Many home-brewers use March pumps. Can you tell me which model you would
recommend for transfering 10 gallon batches of 212 degree wort (unfermented
beer), in the home/hobby environment? Thank you!
Ken Anderson

And received this back:

Hello Ken,

Our recommendation for transferring 212 degree wort is our model
809-PL-HS-C.

The PL version gives you a food grade plastic pump.
The HS version gives you a high speed motor for a faster transfer.
The C version gives you a center inlet and motor mounting bracket.

Attached is a PDF file of the 809 section of our catalog.

Below is a link to a geographical list of March Distributors.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you require further information.
