Wander brew kit

Hi, This is a really stupid question so bear with me.

I have just bought a wander brew kit, and I am trying to attach a tap to the
fermenter, but there is somekind of plastic plug in the tap hole that I cant
remove. Can't see anything in the instructions at www.wander.com.au to tell me
how to get it out!

Any help would be appreciated!

When you say it has some type of plastic plug, do you mean that there is a piece
of plastic in the tap hole, of a different type to the fermenter itself? Does it
have a fat slot in it? If so, you can unscrew this plug counter-clockwise as
normal - it just takes a bit of effort. I usually use the "wings" on the tap to
do this (I put the plug back in when I'm sanitising the fermenter, so that I can
properly sanitise the tap too). Maybe you can try putting a few ten cent pieces
together and using that.

Alternatively, do you mean that the plug hole is sealed over inside the
fermenter, like it was made in one piece with no actual hole? Normally this hole
is cut out for you, but sometimes the fermenter slips through intact. Just use a
Stanley knife.

cheers,
Ross.
