Keg into a brewpot

I have a keg and thinking about turning it into a brewpot.
Is this hard to do?
Thanks
Curtis

Re: Keg into a brewpot

I have two (soon to be three) converted beer kegs. I know a bunch of people
that have them too. It is my opinion that these are the most inexpensive way
to go in building your own system. I recently had one converted for less
than 80 bucks. (+ $15.00 deposit a keg of Racer 5) A 12 " diameter hole cut
in the top and the valve removed. A 3 inch 1/2 pipe welded into a hole near
the bottom for the drain valve spigot. A port in the center for a
thermometer.

One friend of mine spent over 1200 bucks on three converted kegs from SABCO.

Including the accessories to deep fry a turkey! But $1200 bucks is a LOT of
money!

Just my little ethical rant here, but paying a deposit does not allow
you to keep the keg. The kegs remain the property of the brewery. Do
what you like...I buy mine legally.
