| Re: Restoring a fridge to kegorator I have also been looking at this, but put the purchase of a cheap fridge on
hold, because I could not find an economical controller to replace the
fridge thermostat.
The few people who helped me all were agreed that the fridge thermostat is
insufficiently accurate for fermentation.
If (in your case ?), you intend fermenting normally & then simply using the
fridge to keep your keg cool; then I can see no real obstacles.
Just be sure your keg will fit & be careful with sealing if you intend to
penetrate the sides with your beer dispensing line. I have a buddy who does
just this living locally, he just opens the fridge door, uncoils his
dispensing hose & pours beer, then back goes the hose & door closed.
Absolutely no more mods than removing some shelves.
