brewing indoors

What are the dangers of brewing with a turkey fryer indoors, besides fire,
of course? How is the use of a propane fryer any more dangerous than a
stove? Just wondering because I'd like to brew again (in my cellar) but it
is stinkin' cold.

Gerry

You could get a build up of carbon monoxide - a deadly odourless gas - if
there is not sufficient ventilation. Remember also, the heat from the burner
will rise BUT the heavier CO1 will accumulate at floor level. I would advise
to move to a warmer climate and brew outside :-)

Why don't you just use a stove top?

Re: brewing indoors

I've been brewing in my basement for over a year now with a deep fryer
setup. I've had the carbon monoxide detector go off only once. Open
some windows and get a fan going. Other than that the fire harazard is
probably what to be concerned about the most.

I better knock on some wood.

Mike
