Stuck fermentation suggestions

Have got an ale that appears to be stuck. Temp in the brewhouse is low
to mid 60's. Primary (bucket) went well, but there is little to no
activity after a couple weeks in the secondary (carboy). SG still high.

Electric blanket? Some other kick in the yeast-ass?

All suggestions appreciated.

Warm it up to the low 70s. If the SG is still high after a few days,
carefully add non-liquid yeast like Safeale or Whitbread. Of course,
reconstitute the yeast per the directions on the package. Use a
sterilized funnel. That would probably get fermentation going again.

In the future, make sure to use a yeast starter and you might take a
look at some of the yeast nutrients that can be added directly to the
boil in the last 20 minutes.

Re: Stuck fermentation suggestions

Thanks Ken. Looks like I will have to try to find a way to get the temp
of the ale up to 70 or over. I did use a starter, and did use some
nutrients. But I do suspect the temps are the culprit.

Maybe an electric blanket?
