Mr.Beer

Alright guys, i just bought a mr. Beer kit. It comes with Booster, and a Can of Malt Extract and the keg 2.5 gal. Now my question is will this make good beer? I just followed the instructions as per mr.beer and i'm hoping they will be ok. Now another question i have is do i still have to continue to buy the mr. beer extracts or can i purchase other kinds? If other kinds can be purchased can you please provide a link Thanks and look forward to brewin'

I'm hoping that you receive favorable responses to your post, as I've just received a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas. I just brewed a batch of PilotHouse pilsner as my first attempt. Let me know how you make out!

I am asbolutely new to this idea of brewing my own beer.

I have no idea how to start and also saw the "Mr. Beer" ads.

I was wondering if it was worth it?

I don't drink too much but want a nice good tasting beer after work. Therefore, I do not need to make any great quantities. Just enough to have real good beer with the pride of making it myself.

Is Mr. Beer worth it or not?

I also do not know how or where I can get additional information locally. I live in the Madison, WI area. Does anyone know what to look up in the yellow pages or know of how to look for a local club or something to get more information?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

I have seen this Mr Beer thing a few times. not sure how the beer tastes. I am not even sure how much the set is but it seemed to be a small volume beer maker. I would say for a little over 100 bucks you can get a good starter brew set.

How did the beer come out ?

Today is sampling day

I've started on this beer venture severl months ago 1.5-2 months. i purchased a mr. beer. I've followed alot of the advice i've gotten from intermedate brewers. (time to fermentate, carb, etc) I just finished chiling 2 of the 8 bottles that the mr.beer comes with. had a lot of foam but it's settleing. It looks like beer, However looks a bit 'thicker' then i thought it should look like. It appears to be like i'd say a toffe color. It doesn't taste bad. It tastes like a beer, doesn't leave a bad taste. over all i'd say this isn't a bad first batch of beer. Now this is the first beer, i will be drinking 2 so.. opinon might change however for now i'd give it an 7 out of 10 on a BEGINNERS scale.

-Cheers
