Well you won't get a european lager but you can make a very nice beer.
It's called Steam Beer.
I wouldn't worry too much about what kind of beer you make, just if it's good.
So I'd say try it and use what you think would be a good recipe for a european Lager and try to lager it in the coolest place you can for awhile.
