| My first batch was kit and it turned out awful.
It lacked carbination, but was somewhat carbinated. It was sweet because I used my bittering hops in the grain bag with the grain. I added my yeast too early and didn't let the wort cool enough probably giving me a low yeast count due to most being killed off in the high temps. Well lets face it, that batch had to end up being poored down the drain. What I did from it though was learn. A few batches later I had my art down and have been learning and getting better every since.
Never let a bad batch or two stop you, it does get better and very rewarding in the end.
