Smile Hi to all in this forum and in brewing family!

I am just getting started in home brewing and just finished my first batch a month ago! It was a double IPA and turned out a little flat, but am still aging to see if it picks up. I am looking forward to many good brews and good discussions with all of you!

My first batch was kit and it turned out awful.
It lacked carbination, but was somewhat carbinated. It was sweet because I used my bittering hops in the grain bag with the grain. I added my yeast too early and didn't let the wort cool enough probably giving me a low yeast count due to most being killed off in the high temps. Well lets face it, that batch had to end up being poored down the drain. What I did from it though was learn. A few batches later I had my art down and have been learning and getting better every since.

Never let a bad batch or two stop you, it does get better and very rewarding in the end.
