Hello from Dallas Tx

Greetings fellow Home brewers. It's nice to be apart of a forum such as this.
I started my venture into the home brewing world with wine kits when I was 13. After I moved out to Albuquerque for about a year I started into brewing my own beer. Since then I've really caught the bug. I love nothing more than making beer. Currently I do partial mash/extract brewing. I hope eventually to move up into the world of all grain. The next beer project I want to tackle is a high ABV hop monster similar to some of the Dogfishhead beers.

Welcome to the forum Jason. Wow, brewing at 13! What's your favorite recipe so far?

So far the best that I've made, as well as being my favorite, was a clone of Seierra Nevada's Cellibration Ale. I dry hopped it with a mix of cascade and fuggle hops as well as added a handfull of oak chips.

Glad to see another Texan aboard.

I am about 250 miles south of you between Waco and Temple.

Garland is a wet area ain't it? Seems like I once got a beer in that area.

Not sure I was in Garland a year ago it was probably farther back then that. So I guess if it recently became a wet town then I am most likely thinking of an area near Garland. Oh well the whole DFW thing gets me lost as to where exactly I am at anyways. I do like checking out a place called Foremans General Store when I go up to Ft Worth to visit the in-laws. That is where I got most of my start up equipment. Me and my latest brewing buddy are planning a trip one weekend up to the area. We will be stopping in at Foremans but will also be checking out some of the other brew shops in the area. Any recomendations?
