anyone have a good recipe for a european style lager I can ferment at about 65 degrees by using cali lager yeast? Or am I dreaming at this point? | Posted by beer30somewhere

Hey, Im a starving college student and I had this great idea to make my own beer this summer. I was wondering if anyone knew some good recipes is should start off on. I tend to drink darker beers, but I am open to anything. Thanks,

6.3 lb unhopped Amber malt extract (Nortwestern, LaGrange shop)
2.0 oz hop pellets (Nugget,11.1% alpha, 20 min)
1.0 oz hop pellets - flavor (Willamette, 4.0% alpha, 10 min)
1.0 oz hop pellets - aroma (Willamette, 4.0% alpha, 2 min)
Wyeast #2112 (California lager)

5 lbs. Ireks Munich malt, crushed
1 lb. Ireks light crystal malt, crushed
.5 tsp. gypsum
stirred into 2 gallons cold, purified Toronto tap water in a large
pot on the stove. Heat quickly to 125F, hold for 20 min., then to

1 Can Munton & Fison Hopped Premium malt extract (3 lbs 5 oz)
2 lbs Amber dried malt extract
1 oz Halleutaur hops (plug OK) 40 minute boil
1 oz Tettinger hops (plug OK) 10 minute finish
1 pkg Munton & Fison homebrew yeast (normally included with M & F
extract kit)

3/4 oz. Yakima Hallertauer (4%) boiled for 90 minutes
3/5 oz. Yakima Hallertauer (4%) boiled for 30 minutes
3/5 oz. Hersbrucker Hallertauer (4%) boiled for 15 minutes
