National Homebrew Day

Each year on the first Saturday in May, homebrewers unite non-brewing and brewing friends and family to celebrate National Homebrew Day, joining with thousands of homebrewers from around the world in brewing the same recipes and sharing a simultaneous toast at noon Central Time.

So anyone got any plans?

I'll be brewing the Rye IPA recipe then again most of the brewers at our site will do the IPA. Maybe I'll do the Positively Porter too. Have you registered your site at http://www.beertown.org/events/bigbrew/index.html yet? I wonder what the prizes are this year. Good luck.

I am hosting one of the many brewing events here in Colorado this year. I am not sure if I am going to brew one of the recipes as I have made both (or something similar) before. I never really plan that far ahead. We will be brewing out in the back parking lot of the local homebrew shop. In years past, we have had as many as 10 people brewing, I am hoping to get more than that this year, but you never know. It will be fun regardless, and I will be raising my glass at 11:00 am

Sadly I have to work on the first Saturday of May this year. I will join the toast six hours late. This should be a paid holiday.

I agree or at least make it a personal holiday.
