There is something about dark beers

Two years ago I built a kegerator I keep Michelob amberbock in it. I also have room in the refrigerator for a cornelius keg of homebrew. I haven’t brewed in over six years. My hiatus is coming to an end. I didn’t like the yeast taste my brew had from being bottled. The beer flavor was great though, so I’m going to filter out the yeast and force carbonate my beer. I am going to be looking for a dark heavy brew recipe, something like Guinness only a little less hops. I was at a microbrewery in Gatlinburg, TN a week ago. They had two brews that were outstanding; one was Brown trout stout, the other was Tuckaleechee porter. I hope to get close to one of these two.

You can always crash your beer to drop out the yeasties. Let us know how the filtering comes along.

That sounds like some project. Keep us informed on how it goes.
