As I mentioned in my introduction post, I've been brewing for about 7 or 8 years. I started when I was in college in Louisville KY. I was lucky to find a homebrew store that was owned by an old Italian lady. She mostly made wine, but had also brewed some beer. It was great for me, because she was an excellent source of information.

I started with brewing wine when I was 13.
Wine for 13 years.
Beer for 6 months or so.

Since Mar '06 and 75 gallons later I've switched to all-grain and 10 gallon batches. Used to do wine but have totally lost interest in that since discovering good homebrew.

I've been brewing on my own since November of 2003. My Father is an on-again-off-again brewer (as was his Father) so I helped him with some batches growing up before venturing solo. Just made my first wine 2 weeks ago...

Smile Long, Long Time

Well, I started out on a John Bull kit when I was 14 and now I am 31. Moved from extract kits to all grain when I was 16 and have never looked back. Three summers back I did an internship at The Hub City Brewery in Lubbock, TX, and then I moved back to my hometown in Ada, OK. I took a break from brewing about two years before the internship but picked right back up after my move. Oklahoma has strange liquor laws and they can't refridgerate beer sold in Liquor Stores. They also can't sell anything greater than 3.2% ABW anyplace but the Liquor Store. Hope you are seeing the "need" for brewing now! I now brew 16 gallon batches and have just gotten into lagers and lagering equipment.
