Re: Drink Sizes

I do not drink the grapes, but my friend who do ususlly poiur about 1/2 to 2/3 of a glass, so 7 oz. is probably good. As far as shots go, I am closer tothe 2 oz. mark. Beer on the other hand is almost always at least a 16 oz.'er! I figure that if I haven't got a good taste of beer by 16, then I had better quit. Doesn't mean I will quit, but just a suggestion to myself. As a matter of fact, I am enjoying a porter I brewed right now....mmmmmmm...

Re: Drink Sizes

I was a bar tender in North Carolina. I went to the International Bar Tending Institute ( Same program they put the Actors through for Cocktail BTW ). I was taught 6oz is a standard pour for the Vino, however, It was more like 7-8Oz based on the Size glassware I used in my Bar. As to the Hard Stuff. NC was particular on shot Size, and it is supposed to be 1.25 Oz per shot. And Not allowed to pout more than 2.5 Oz per drink, So A Long Island Ice Tea was not more powerful then a double Rum and Coke. That being Said, I free Poured, and While I could be dead on ( I.e. I could pour exactly 1.25 oz, without measuring, takes a little practice, I would be generous to Regulars and those that tipped well.
