What has happened to "My favorite beer is free, and cold. And if not cold, then at least free."? I can see your point. I guess it may seem snobby, but if I have a choice between drinks I'm going for something I prefer better. While I prefer Guinness, it isn't often available down here, so I might have Amberbock. Same goes for whiskey, if I have my choice I would rather have Bushmills rather then Jack.

Now that being said, I was at a 4th of July party where all they had was Bud Lite, so thats what I had.

well said my friend! I have a bad habit of taking a recipe, brewing it per instructions to see if I like it, then monkeying with it. I did that with a copper ale recently. Brewed it per recipe, found that I REALLY lliked the way it drank, and then for the next batch added 1.5 lbs of honey, and lemon zest...mm'mm good. The pilsner that I just brewed, I changed form the start. Not enough hops, and I pitched ale yeast because I have no way to ferment a lager/pils. It's in the bucket right now. Thinking of it, I should rack over to secondary this weekend...
