Easy Alfredo Sauce

New Member
I am a huge fan of pasta and Alfredo sauce, but I don't always have a lot of time on hand to make it. This is a quick and easy way to make a delicious Alfredo sauce.

1/2 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 cups of milk
6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon of pepper

Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth. Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps. Stir in Parmesan and pepper. Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency. Sauce will thicken rapidly, thin with milk if cooked too long. Toss with hot pasta to serve.

Alfredo is something I love and the kids like it too but my spouse is not that fond of it. I will have to keep this recipe for the nights when the kids and me get to plan dinner and just surprise her with it.

I love Alfredo sauce so I am definitely going to give this a try! I think I might try it with some broccoli and chicken for dinner one night this week.
