We just squeeze the juice out of the apples and that is the cider. It is wonderful! We don't add anything to ours and it taste just right. I am sure there are people that add other things to their apples but not us.
It is apple juice that is not pasteurized. Most cider sold in grocery stores is this type of cider. What I consider apple cider is fermented apple juice which is sometimes called apple wine or hard cider.
