Parmesan Croutons

If you have some leftover bread, you might want to turn it into Parmesan Croutons. These croutons are also a perfect addition to your salad. I caught the recipe from a magazine (allIneedischeese) which I got from a recent exhibition.

2 slices of bread cut in cubes
2 tbsp melted butter
3 tbsp finely grated Parmesan
1 tsp dried basil, oregano or rosemary
salt and pepper

Mix the bread, melted butter, Parmesan, herb and salt and pepper.
Coat bread cubes thoroughly and put on a baking sheet.
Bake in the oven at 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes.

That sounds like the right magazine for me and I will have to give this a go. The spouse is kicking back into salad mode and I need to stock up, some of the store bought ones cost way too much for those little baggies!
We love croutons on salad, and my little niece can eat them by the bag full. Your recipe sounds easy and delicious. We're having a family gathering the first of October, and I'm going to whip up a bag to take along with my salads.

I usually do the same thing but instead of the butter I use a little bit of olive oil to coat the bread so everything sticks together and isn't as bad for you.
