Pineapple Wine

My best friend, makes this pineapple wine,. and it is so good! I asked her for the recipe, so I could share it with everyone here. I hope you enjoy this wine, as much as I do.

What You Need:

One ripe pineapple-finely chopped
Yeast [Baker`s or wine]-2 Teaspoons
10 cups of water
A big airtight container
Wine bottle to hold your wine

What to Do:

1. In a large saucepan, add the chopped pineapple pieces, 1kg sugar, 10 cups of water and bring to boil.

2. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring often, and then turn off the heat.

3. Allow the mixture to cool a bit, about five minutes. While it is still warm, add the two tsp of yeast and stir.

4. Transfer the contents into the airtight container and leave in a cool dark place for 21 days.

5. Stir the wine contents a little once every two days.

6. Strain the wine after 21 days into your glass wine bottle.

Now while I really do not like wine, if it could taste only like pineapples I might give it a go. Can you ask her what type of container might be best to use? If I am going to try it I might as well do it right the first time around.


I am not much of a pineapple eater. Usually, I find it too sour or too tangy for my taste. But I would be interested to taste pineapple wine... By the way, the recipe looks easy to follow.
