Wine and Food Pairing


One of the first few things I was told about wine was the standard "red wine with red meat and white wine with white meat". A good food-and-wine combination can bring out the best flavors and make dining a satisfying experience . Any tips or ideas on which food (meat) is a good match for wine and vice-versa? :)

I have tried food and wine pairings a few times but I am not an expert at it. Maybe I can share this: a month ago, my husband cooked some barbecued chicken wings for us and poured me a glass of Chardonnay wine. Two weeks ago, I had an Escabeche for lunch and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Yesterday I had roasted beef steak for dinner and a Cabernet wine.
