Wine Tasting

Have you ever been to a wine tasting? One of our local wineries makes this offering on a regular basis. All of their wines are wonderful and I always come home with several bottles. The wine never seems to taste the same at home though. Do you have any idea what could be different?

It's likely both the way it is stored and how it is served. Wines need the proper wineglass to taste its best, plus need to be at just the right temperature. For instance, a full-bodied red wine should be served at room temperature, or just above, and be decanted into a glass that has a round bowl to it.

I agree with corked. It sounds weird that wineglass shape effects taste but it does. Temperature is very important too.

I haven't been to a wine tasting in some time but I always enjoy them.
